Christmas Lights Switch On
Amersham Old Town Christmas Late Night Shopping
A traditional Christmas will be held in Amersham Old Town on Thursday 1st December 2011.
For a real festive shopping treat, head to Old Amersham and join Santa and his two real life reindeer as the shops stay open late and we switch on the Christmas lights in Amersham Old Town to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.
The festivities will begin at 5.30pm until 8pm including barbershop carols, a town crier, a festive double decker bus and the Christmas tree outside St Mary’s Church will be switched on at 6pm.
In addition to the wide range of quality shops, there will be a number of charity and Amersham Old Town traders offering festive fare as well as seasonal snacks and refreshments from Seasons Café and Deli.
There will be free parking and a road closure around Market Square. This event is organised by the Amersham Society and the Old Amersham Business Association supported by Amersham Town Council and Chiltern District Council.
