Calling Amersham's community stalwarts
Good Samaritans and pillars of the community are being sought for the annual Amersham Citizen of the Year Awards.
Do you have a friend, relative or work colleague who goes out of their way to help others?
Then the Amersham Citizen of the Year contest for 2012 could be the place to have their efforts recognised.
Nominations are now being invited for this year's gongs with five categories up for grabs - Junior Citizen, Citizen, Senior Citizen, Business and the Mayor's Special Award.
Mayor Mimi Harker said: "There are so many amazing people within our community who go over and above the call of duty.
"If you know somebody who has made a notable contribution to others within the community then please put their name forward for the Mayors Awards for 2012 - a special year in itself.
"I look forward to meeting you all in May."
Nomination forms can be downloaded here and are available at the Town Council Office. The closing date for nominations is 23 April 2012 with the presentations taking place on 13 May during the band concert.
