Amersham Town Council, in partnership with Amersham Action Group and Amersham Round Table, are pleased to announce that this year’s Amersham Carnival & Town Show will be held on King George V Playing Field from 12 noon. After the disappointing events of the last few years – and the complete lack of Carnival last year – the Town Council has been working hard to ensure that a really good event takes place for all Amersham families to enjoy!

Described as a “fun-filled extravaganza”, this year’s event will begin with a Fairy┬áTale theme procession through the streets of Amersham to make a grand entrance on to King George V Playing Field. On the field there will be lots of stalls and surprises to entertain the whole family including: the horticultural tents of the Town Show; Live Music and BBQ; French Market; Fun Fair; Craft Stalls; Charity Stalls and … the beach!

Amersham Town Council is transforming a chunk of the field into a beach to create – Amersham on the Sea! There will be all the usual things you would expect – sand diggers; buckets and spades; beach games; donkey rides; face painting; Punch and Judy; coloured sand in bottles; and lots of fun competitions. So don’t forget your towel and flip flops!!!

Amersham on the Sea is sponsored by Biffa; Hadlands Estate agents; and Turney Groundcare.
