AMERSHAM CLEAN UP DAYS – SAT 30TH & SUN 31ST MARCH 2019

A huge thank you to everyone that took part in the town’s Great British Spring Clean events this weekend.
Beavers from the 2nd Amersham Common Unit commenced proceedings by litter picking King George V Playing Fields on Friday evening before our community litter pick in Amersham on the Hill on Saturday and Old Amersham on Sunday.

Over 120 residents and visitors volunteered during the weekend, with over 50 bags of rubbish collected.
As part of yesterday efforts, we were back in the Misbourne fishing out 6 bags of litter from the river and bank- including two bikes and a shopping trolley.

A special thank to the many Geocachers who kindly gave up their time to help out on both days and to Serco for assisting throughout.
A great community effort!

Cleaning up on Saturday 30th with the Mayor of Amersham, Cllr Caroline Jones, Amersham in Bloom volunteers and Serco.

Amersham in Bloom volunteers collecting bags of rubbish in Amersham Old Town on Sunday 31st.
