AMERSHAM HERITAGE DAY – SUNDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2019!!

Heritage Day returns Amersham Old Town on Sunday 8th September. It promises to be the best yet with a more jam-packed programme than ever before….with the event taking place from 11.30am until 5.30pm.

This year we have buses running from Chesham (including Chesham Bois), Little Chalfont & Amersham on the Hill to Old Amersham – There will be live entertainment throughout the day including Chiltern Jive Club, Lou’s Sextet Band, Erin Hair and lots more!!

Plus there will be a petting zoo courtesy of Appreciating Animals, a visit from Kew Little Pigs, medieval re-enactments, archery, Irish Dancing, the Chesham All Girls Marching Band and Morris Dancers all pulling in the crowds!  This is in addition to several pubs along the High Street, fairground rides, classic cars and Steam Traction engines.

Heritage market stalls will line the High Street complementing the craft stalls featuring demonstrations as well as a Vintage Tea Room being held in the Market Hall run by our fantastic Amersham in Bloom volunteers. And if that isn’t enough…..the following buildings will be open to the public including….Old Amersham Methodist Church (serving cream teas from 1pm to 4.30pm), Quaker Meeting House, Amersham Museum, St. Mary’s Church including the Drake Chapel and our fantastic Market Hall. It promises to be the best Amersham Heritage Day yet – we look forward to seeing you then!

Don’t forget to look out for more information on the format of the day on the Town Council website www.amersham-tc.gov.uk as well as our Facebook page www.facebook.com/amershamtowncouncil and Twitter @AmershamTC – we will be providing updates of the event on our social media accounts using #AmershamHOD2019
