We are delighted and enormously proud to announce that Amersham has won GOLD in the Thames and Chiltern in Bloom awards for the THIRD year in a row!! A huge amount of work has gone into this year’s Amersham in Bloom entry and we would like to thank our wonderful volunteers (pictured) and Town Council Staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure that Amersham looks as beautiful and vibrant as ever! And if the GOLD award wasn’t enough, Amersham was also named as the best town – beating Henley on Thames, Kidlington and Princes Risborough, along with collecting the regional award for Community Involvement and Pride of Place.

The successful collaboration between Amersham Town Council, Amersham in Bloom Group Volunteers, local business support, Serco, local schools and community groups – most notably Amersham Rotary Club, Amersham Action Group, Amersham Society, the Amersham and District Residents Association, and 1st Chesham Bois Scout Group Leaders –in addition to Chiltern District Council and Bucks County Council has made this wonderful achievement possible. Working together as a community for a phenomenal result.

Congratulations to everyone involved this year! Well Done!

Amersham has also been chosen to be a part of the National Bloom Awards this year – so keep your fingers crossed for us when the results are announced in Birmingham on Friday 14th October 2016!
